Step 1: Seat Matrix Release
MCC NEET is going to release the awaited seat matrix for MBBS, BDS and BSc Nursing courses across the participating universities offering 15 percent All India Quota (AIQ) seats.
Step 2: Registration
Candidates are required to register for the NEET 2023 counselling separately for each round, except the Stray Vacancy round. The registration process will be done in an online format and candidates will have to give their personal details such as contact details, Roll Number, scores, and rank along with other details. Registration fees and security deposit also have to be paid. Registration fees is non-refundable while the security deposit is refundable to the students.
Step 3: Choice Filling
During this phase of MCC NEET UG Counselling, candidates will have to select their desired colleges depending upon their liking. Registered candidates will be required to log in on the official website and they will be asked to enter their details.
Step 4: Locking Choices
The next step involves locking the choices entered by the candidates. It is essential for the students to lock the choices for getting a printout of the submitted choices during the locking period. MCC states that students should not wait till the last minute for their registration and should take a printout of the submitted choices. Moreover, MCC NEET states that the students must go through the submitted choices before locking in as once a candidate locks in the choices, modification or the option to edit the choices will not be made available to them.
Step 5: Verification by Universities and Seat Allotment Process
Verification of the registration details and preferences submitted provided by the candidates will be done by the universities and colleges. Once it is done, they would declare the seat allotment result.
Step 6: Seat Allotment Result
For candidates who registered and submitted selections in accordance with the proper procedure, MCC will announce the results of the seat allocation. Prior to the publishing of the final result, or seat allotment list, candidates will have the opportunity to express any complaints they may have. Candidates can accept or decline their seat assignment and participate in the institute reporting cycle. Or they could decide to upgrade their seats. In the latter scenario, they will need to sign up for additional counselling sessions.
Step 7: Institute Reporting
Candidates must visit the institutions where they want to enroll in a medical program in this last phase. Verifying the hard copies of the required documents and paying the entry costs are both part of this procedure.Candidates should be aware that the Stray Vacancy round will be the last and last round in which the seat allocation results will be directly announced. In this round, the registration or choice-filling process would not be applicable.
